Each component of our curriculum is carefully selected to complement and enrich the liberal education being offered in the home.

Morning Gathering
We begin each meeting with a hymn, prayer, catechism memory work, and recitation of poetry or Scripture.
School-Age Students (First Grade and Older)
God's World and God's People: One of our main goals at Grace Heritage is to explore countries around the world from a global missions perspective. In God's World and God's People, students focus on one continent each year, exploring its geography, the cultures represented in several countries, and historical and modern missionaries to the region.
Spanish: Students are exposed to conversational Spanish in a fun and interactive way through songs, literature, and other activities.
Science (new for 2025-2026): Students in 1st-3rd grades will explore natural history using living nature books. Students in 4th grade and older will complete science experiments at co-op. They will be encouraged to complete one outside reading and narration at home, and come to class prepared to discuss their learning prior to completing the related experiment.
Shakespeare (new for 2025-2026): Students in 4th grade and older will explore the works of Shakespeare through reading, narration, drama, and recitation.
Latin (new for 2025-2026): Students in 4th grade and older will have the OPTION to come early and participate in a Latin class. This class will be held thirty minutes prior to the start of the regular co-op day. Homework will be required.

Special Studies Rotation
School-age students complete a rotation of special studies in small groups. Rotation classes change yearly based on teacher preferences and student interests. Previous rotation classes have included art, sewing, paper sloyd, knot-tying, wood working, and folk dancing.

For Younger Siblings
Kindergarten
Our four and five year olds have one class period for Stories of God's World during which they are offered age-appropriate exposure to many of the same concepts as the older students but without formal lesson requirements. During the other class periods, they spend time in a literature and play-based curriculum, in creativity stations, music and movement, and out of doors.
Pre-K, Toddlers, and Infants
The youngest members of our community have story time, creativity stations, music and movement, classroom free play, and playground/outdoor time.

Nature Study
After dismissal, families have the option of meeting outdoors for a picnic lunch, nature journaling, and play. This is an extension of our co-op day and is not required.
